There is nothing more grounding, centering, and simply pleasurable than taking a walk in the woods or other nature reserve.
I enjoy tuning in with all my senses to enjoy the scent of flowers, the warmth of sun on my skin, the crunching of dry leaves under my feet, and the calls of songbirds.
If you are not able to get to a park at the moment, I invite you take a walk with me!
My new YouTube series, Nature Walks for Stress relief, contain footage of me exploring parks and enjoying quiet time. While the videos may contain a few soothing or uplifting words, they are mostly free of talking and meant to immerse you in the sounds of the environment. I invite you to pracitce mindful breathing while watching; you may be surprised at just how relaxed you feel at the end of the video!
Check out my first video, a walk through Deer Haven Park in Delaware, Ohio. The leaves are just beginning to turn here, while some wildflowers are still in bloom. It is a lovely time of year, and I hope you enjoy the video!
